CHICAGO (CBS) — The City Council’s Inspector General has sparked controversy, after a top aide recently worked on a state lawmaker’s re-election campaign while taking time off the job.

WBBM Political Editor Craig Dellimore reports Kelly Tarrant, chief of staff for Legislative Inspector General Faisal Kahn, took 10 weeks off at the end of last year and worked on the campaign of state Rep. Eddie Winters (D-Chicago)
